Spline Ring Gauge are the most effective tooling for checking the tooth thickness, form diameter etc., of the external spline shaft. It’s a tedious and time-consuming job to check each individual part parameters like profile accuracy, index error, lead error and PCD run out on a production line. Involute Spline and Serration Ring Gauges are used to check external spline or serration dimensions

These gauges are supplied in sets of ‘GO’ and ‘NO GO’.

‘GO’ involute spline or serration ring gauge checks effective dimension arrived after consideration of manufacturing tolerance and error allowance on elements like profile, index & PCD runout.‘GO’ cross-cut ring gauge checks external straight spline dimensions. This checks effective spline width dimension, which is arrived after consideration of manufacturing tolerance and error allowance on elements like profile, index and PCD runout

‘NO GO’ involute spline or serration ring gauge is a sector type of gauge and is designed for checking separately individual elements such as major dia., or space width. ‘NO GO’ cross-cut spline ring gauge is a sector type of gauge and is designed for checking separately individual elements such as root dia., or space width.
